Skratchin…. What is it?
Back in the days (read: pre-serato) these were the records to have for any well rounded battle DJ. I managed to find some .mp3s of some the better breaks/beats/sounds from these records. But I would love to own the record sleeves. If only my DJ bag were never stolen.
Super Duck Breaks. Seriously probably the ONLY break record you’ll really need. It has the required “Ahhhhh” and “Fresh” but it also the famous beat sample which starts off with the infamous sound bite… “Yo, stop frontin’ and use your head.” Those who know, know what I’m talking about. I think we went thru 5+ copies of this record.
Toasted Marshmello Breaks was my favorite of the Dirt Style breaks. The artwork was ill to look at while you were waiting for your turn to scratch.
I want to say this “Battle Breaks” record was pre-SkratchPiklz b’cuz the FM20 finger ring and the DJ rocking the “RockSteady” hat. I could be wrong, I’m just reading the writing on the wall record sleeve! I miss the Invisibl.Skratch.Piklz
